Tackling Hunger with the Acworth Turkey Chase

Once a year on a chilly November morning, the community comes together for The Acworth Turkey Chase, an exciting annual tradition in Historic Downtown Acworth that attracts serious runners, casual walkers, and the most festive turkey attire for a great cause! More than just a fun way to spend a Saturday, this 5K fun run and 2K walk serves a significant role in the local fight against hunger. Running the Acworth Community

Acworth is known for its lakes and beaches, its tasty restaurants and small-town charm – but one thing you’ll find when you look a little closer is the ever-growing running community! In 2019, at the Downtown Acworth Bowling Law office on Main Street, a running club was born! Started by Eddie and Melanie Bowling, the small club began as an after-work endeavor with their team, running the sidewalks of the Historic District.
