Lake Acworth Master Plan

The City of Acworth has been working with the US Army Corp of Engineers for many years to develop the Lake Acworth Master Plan, which received approval in January 2024. The plan encompasses an overall concept of future development around Lake Acworth. It is important to note that this plan is conceptual and the development of this will be done in phases over the next 20 years as funding becomes available.

CAUBLE PARK RENOVATIONS: JULY 2025 UPDATE

The City of Acworth is excited to see renovations to Cauble Park begin this summer. The renovations will improve accessibility, safety, and the overall experience for visitors to the park. Beginning July 2025, areas of Cauble Park will be closed from the boat ramp at Seminole Drive to the middle restroom building during renovations. While the rest of the park remains open, visitors are reminded to be aware that construction will be ongoing in the closed areas during this time.

Renovations will include the removal of all wooden pavilion structures throughout the entire park. There will be an addition of two 24′ x 34′ pavilions that will be located near the boat ramp, with additional picnic tables around the park trail, each with its own shade structure. The current sidewalk trail will be replaced with a 12′ wide sidewalk trail around the perimeter of the lawn, and the current grassy field will be regraded to create a beautiful new lawn space for visitors to enjoy.

The City of Acworth looks forward to the quality of life improvements that will come with this project, and would like to thank its residents and visitors for their patience as park renovations are navigated.
