DAR Accepts Constitution Week Proclamation

At the Thursday, September 7 regular city council meeting, Alderman Price presented the City of Acworth's Constitution Week proclamation to members of the Daughters of the American Revolution. Darla Valentini, Barbara Benson, Jane Bentley, and Betty Westbrook were in attendance to accept the proclamation. Constitution Week is September 17-23, and is celebrated annually to commemorate the 1787 adoption of the United States Constitution.

Chamber Awards Development Director with Cobb Young Professional Award

The City of Acworth is pleased to announce that Development Director, Alex Almodovar, has been recognized by the Cobb Chamber with the Cobb Young Professionals Next Generation Award for demonstrating leadership ability in the community and his current role and offering a unique perspective. Proclamation in Recognition of United States Coast Guard Day, August 4, 2023

At the Thursday, August 3, 2023 regular city council meeting, Mayor Tommy presented Doug Wallace with a proclamation to honor his years of service with the Coast Guard. Sons of the American Revolution Recognition of Acworth Police Chief Jesse Evans

At the August 3, 2023 regular city council meeting, representatives of the Sons of the American Revolution presented Chief Jesse Evans with a certificate in appreciation of his service as a first responder.
