At the Thursday, June 5 regular city council meeting, City Manager Albright recognized and presented a certificate of completion to Sergeant Brandon Greene for successfully completing the requirements of the Acworth Leadership Development Academy, demonstrating a commitment to leadership, growth, and service to the community. Congratulations, Sergeant Greene; we are grateful to have such a dedicated City Team!

At the Thursday, June 5 regular city council meeting, Chief Cheatam recognized Officer Mike Payne for faithfully serving the City of Acworth for the past ten years. Officer Payne began his law enforcement career with the Cobb County Police Department, where he served for 32 years and retired as a Major.

At the Thursday, June 5 regular city council meeting, Chief Cheatam recognized Corporal Cody Lumpkin for ten years of service with the City of Acworth. Corporal Lumpkin began his law enforcement career at the Acworth Adult Detention Facility before transitioning to a sworn law enforcement officer.  Corporal Lumpkin’s family accompanied him for the presentation.
