At the Thursday, May 15 regular city council meeting, Mayor Allegood recognized Ron Huffman for his leadership in visionary planning and design. Mr. Huffman has designed numerous iconic features in Acworth including the Veterans Memorial, Pedestrian Bridge, Depot Park, Hill Park, the Acworth Community Garden, Logan Farm Park, the Lake Acworth Master Plan, current Acworth City Hall, Acworth Sports Complex, Depot Park, Winn Street Multi-Use Trail, Doyal Hill Park, public art and the revitalization of the Parkside District. The City of Acworth is incredibly grateful for his dedication in shaping the city’s character, enhancing public spaces, and improving the quality of life for all residents over the past two decades!
