Recognition of Mike Payne as Acworth Police Department’s Officer of the Quarter

At the Thursday, August 21 regular city council meeting, Sergeant Mistretta recognized Officer Mike Payne as Officer of the Quarter for his extraordinary dedication in honoring the legacy of one of our own, Fallen Officer Leonard Rainey. Former Officer Rainey was rightfully recognized on the Officer Down Memorial Page and included on the National Law Enforcement Memorial in Washington, D.C., this year.

Presentation Recognizing Acworth Public Safety Cadets for Successful National Training Conference

At the Thursday, August 21 Council Meeting, Sergeant Mistretta presented Acworth Public Safety Cadets with trophies acknowledging and celebrating their achievements in the National Training Conference in California, where over 98 teams participated in the highly competitive event. The Acworth Cadets placed 3rd in the Drill / Honor Guard Event and are commended for the incredible amount of work and level of effort, professionalism, and commitment demonstrated throughout the week.

Proclamation Recognizing Amateur Radio Week

Alderman Tim Richardson met with members of the Kennehoochee Amateur Radio Club on Saturday, June 28th, at Dallas Landing Park to present a proclamation from the City of Acworth declaring June 23–29 as Amateur Radio Week. Recognition of Sergeant Greene as Acworth PD’s Officer of the Quarter

At the Wednesday, June 18 city council meeting, Acworth Police Chief Cheatham recognized Sergeant Greene as the Acworth Police Department Officer of the Quarter for his outstanding leadership and dedication to developing his team. Not only has he helped guide and mold his shift, but he also introduced new programs in our schools, expanding our connection with the community in meaningful ways.
