Oath of Office Administered to Officer Emma Carey

At the Monday, November 10 special called council meeting, Chief Cheatham acknowledged and swore in Emma Carey as an Acworth Police Officer and congratulated her on obtaining her P.O.S.T. certification and graduating from the University of North Georgia with a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice.

Chief Cheatham also swore in Amanda Matthews as a Public Safety Liaison (PSL). Ms. Matthews’ comes from Cobb County Animal Control and her new role as a PSL will involve transporting inmates for the Acworth Police Department.
