Proclamation in Recognition of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day

At the Thursday, January 15 regular city council meeting, Mayor Allegood presented the annual Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day Proclamation to Randolph Blalock, life-long resident of Acworth, for reflecting the leadership and character portrayed by Dr. King in his everyday life. The City of Acworth thanks Mr. Blalock for his participation and wisdom in building quality of life for the Acworth community.
Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day will be observed in the Acworth community on Monday, January 19 at the Martin Luther King, Jr. Celebration and Day of Service presented by Acworth Parks, Recreation and Community Resource Department.
