Get ready for an evening of excitement, fun, and father-daughter bonding on June 6th from 6:00p.m. to 8:00p.m. at Acworth Parks, Recreation, and Community Resource Department's annual Daddy Daughter Date Night! This event will be held at Tanyard Creek Overlook in the Acworth Community Center (4361 Cherokee Street). Daddy-Daughter Duo Tickets will be $40.00 for residents, and $50.00 for non-residents. Visit Acworth is the city's tourism bureau authority charged with branding and marketing the city for the purpose of attracting visitors to enjoy Acworth's two beautiful lakes and historic downtown districts. Visit Acworth meets the second Thursday of the month at 4:30 p.m. at Acworth City Hall.

The DDA facilitates the process of Economic Development in the Downtown Development Authority District while preserving its historic downtown heritage, and meets the third Tuesday of the month at 4:00 p.m. at Acworth City Hall.
Acworth City Council regular meetings occur on the first and third Thursday of each month at 7:00 p.m. The meetings take place in council chambers at Acworth City Hall (4415 Center Street).
City of Acworth offices and facilities will be closed on Thursday, June 19, 2026, in observance of Juneteenth.
Concert on the Green - A Juneteenth Celebration will take place at Logan Farm Park on Saturday, June 20, 2026. The event opens at 5:00 p.m. with live music from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Food and refreshments will be available for purchase. The City of Acworth invites everyone to bring blankets and folding chairs to join for this celebration of freedom and community.
The Acworth Planning & Zoning Commission is responsible for ensuring developments are coordinated and harmonious with existing and future needs and consistent with the City's Comprehensive Plan. The Commission meets on the fourth Tuesday of every month to review rezoning, annexation, and other requests at Acworth City Hall (4415 Center Street).
