Lake Acworth Clean-Up

Help keep Lake Acworth beautiful! Acworth Power and Public Works' Stormwater Division is partnering with Acworth Parks, Recreation, and Community Resource Department to host a Lake Acworth Clean-Up on Saturday, March 23 from 9:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. at Cauble Park. Planning & Zoning Commission

The Acworth Planning & Zoning Commission is responsible for ensuring developments are coordinated and harmonious with existing and future needs and consistent with the City's Comprehensive Plan. The Commission meets on the fourth Tuesday of every month to review rezoning, annexation, and other requests at Acworth City Hall (4415 Center Street).

Spring Downtown Classic Car Cruise

Logan Farm Park 4405 Cherokee Street, Acworth, GA

On Saturday, March 30, Acworth will host a Classic Car Cruise in Downtown Acworth. The event will be held from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Logan Farm Park (4405 Cherokee Street). The Lake City Cruisers partner with the City and the downtown Acworth merchants to hold these Classic Car Cruises. The event is free to the public. A $5 entry fee is requested for all vehicles in the cruise. All proceeds go to the Horizon Field, an all-inclusive special needs sports facility in Acworth. READ MORE

Acworth Lake Authority

Acworth Community Center 4361 Cherokee Street, Acworth, GA

The Lake Authority is a five-member board where the elected Mayor serves as the Chairman.  The remaining four members are appointed by the Mayor and Board to serve.  They are a group of citizens that assist the City by providing citizen input and engagement into the operation, management, and the development of master plans for Federally leased properties around Lake Acworth. The Lake Authority meets at the Acworth Community Center (4361 Cherokee Street) on the first Monday of the month at noon.
