City Offices Closed – Thanksgiving

City of Acworth offices and facilities will be closed on Thursday, November 28, and Friday, November 29, 2024, in observance of the Thanksgiving holiday.

Acworth Lake Authority

Acworth Community Center 4361 Cherokee Street, Acworth, GA

The Lake Authority is a five-member board where the elected Mayor serves as the Chairman.  The remaining four members are appointed by the Mayor and Board to serve.  They are a group of citizens that assist the City by providing citizen input and engagement into the operation, management, and the development of master plans for Federally leased properties around Lake Acworth. The Lake Authority meets at the Acworth Community Center (4361 Cherokee Street) on the first Monday of the month at noon.

Santa’s Arrival

The City of Acworth, along with their partner NorthStar Church is excited to host this year’s Santa’s Arrival!  Santa arrives in Historic Downtown Acworth on  Friday, December 6, 2024.  Festivities will begin at 5:30 p.m. and Santa is scheduled to arrive at 6:30 p.m.  There will be a host of live performances and activities until 8:30 p.m. to help Santa kick off the holiday season. Breakfast with the Grinch
