    In honor of America's 250th birthday, the City of Acworth is excited to announce the Threads of Freedom Parade to be held on Sunday, June 14th, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. The parade will run along Historic Main Street with a start at the First Baptist Church before finishing at the Holbrook. Residents, families, businesses, and organizations will be invited to register to participate in the parade.     Concert on the Green - A Juneteenth Celebration will take place at Logan Farm Park on Saturday, June 20, 2026. The event opens at 5:00 p.m. with live music from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Food and refreshments will be available for purchase. The City of Acworth invites everyone to bring blankets and folding chairs to join for this celebration of freedom and community.

    The Acworth Planning & Zoning Commission is responsible for ensuring developments are coordinated and harmonious with existing and future needs and consistent with the City's Comprehensive Plan. The Commission meets on the fourth Tuesday of every month to review rezoning, annexation, and other requests at Acworth City Hall (4415 Center Street).
