JOE TAYLOR CHAMBERS

Joe Taylor Chambers (September 27, 1932-November 11, 2008) was a native of Bartow County and eventually moved to Acworth, Georgia, with his wife Myrna Chapman.

Mr. Chambers served in the Georgia National Guard for twelve years and retired from BellSouth as an engineer. Mr. Chambers also served on the Acworth Board of Aldermen from 1977-1982 before becoming the mayor of Acworth from 1983-1984. He was a charter member of the Kennworth Golden Kiwanis club and a beloved member of his community.
