Regina Russell Elected 2023 President of the Georgia Municipal Clerks Association
Regina Russell, City Clerk of Acworth, Georgia, has been elected to serve as the President of the Georgia Municipal Clerks Association (GMCA) for 2023. President Russell was sworn in during the Annual Business Meeting on February 6 at Jekyll Island. Ms. Russell has been a member of GMCA for many years and has served on the GMCA Board of Directors since 2015.
In her acceptance speech, Ms. Russell said, “As President, I’d like to bring recognition to the visionaries and those willing to submit forward-thinking ideas…I am overwhelmed with excitement for what’s to come.”
With a membership of more than 375 city clerks, the vision of the Georgia Municipal Clerks Association is to promote integrity and excellence through education and professional development, to strengthen and support its Membership, and enhance its image.
