At the Thursday, March 7 regular city council meeting, Alderman Prather presented the annual Arbor Day Proclamation to members of the Acworth Tree Commission.  The Acworth Tree Commission is responsible for the annual Arbor Day program, planting of trees in the community, and leading the efforts of the Acworth Community Garden. The Commission meets the second Tuesday of January, April, July, and October at 3:45 p.m. at the Acworth Community Center and will be offering 150 free tree saplings for pick up at the Garden(4757 School St) this Saturday, March 9.
