At the Thursday, June 15 regular city council meeting, Mayor Tommy Allegood presented a proclamation to members and coaches of the North Cobb Christian School Eagles Baseball Program in recognition of winning the 2023 GHSA 2A State Championship. The North Cobb Christian School Eagles Baseball program won the 2023 GHSA 2A State Championship, their third overall championship in program history with another two coming in GISA 2002 and 2006. The Eagles went 34-7 on the season and won their first GHSA Region Championship in program history. During the season, they went on an 18-game winning streak and finished with a team batting average of .345 and a team ERA of 1.25.
