At the Thursday, May 7 regular city council meeting, Alderman Prather presented the annual National Safe Boating Week Proclamation to the Lake Allatoona flotilla of the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary’s Kevin Schulte. National Safe Boating week is observed May 16-22, 2026, and brings attention to important lifesaving tips for recreational boaters so that they can have a safer, more fun experience out on the water throughout the year.
