At the Thursday, September 4 regular city council meeting, Mayor Allegood presented the annual Constitution Week Proclamation to members of the Liberty Hill Chapter DAR (Daughters of the American Revolution). Constitution Week will be recognized September 17-23, whereas September 17 marks the two hundred and thirty-eighth anniversary of its drafting, and citizens are encouraged to learn more about this important document which stands as a testament to the tenacity of Americans throughout history to maintain their liberties, freedoms, and inalienable rights and is the basis for America’s heritage and the foundation of its way of life.
