Published On: February 1, 2024

At the Thursday, February 1 regular city council meeting, Alderman Tim Houston presented the annual Black History Month Proclamation to Judge Angela Brown, the daughter of the late Leonard Hall, a former Tuskegee Airman who was the recipient of the proclamation approximately eight years ago.  Black History Month is a time for all Americans to reflect on the rich history and teachings of African Americans whose contributions are vast and wide. Citizens are encouraged to join the Acworth community in celebrating the collective ingenuity, creativity, cultures, and traditions of African Americans and to participate in educational events honoring their contributions.
