Installation of Historic Interpretive Panel at Frana Brown Park

Published On: September 3, 2025
On Wednesday, September 3, the Save Acworth History Foundation was excited to celebrate the installation of new interpretive panels across the downtown area, highlighting Acworth churches. The unveiling was held at Frana Brown Park, the original location of the Acworth United Methodist Church.
This project was made possible through a partnership between the Save Acworth History Foundation and Kennesaw State University, and is a testament to the importance of community partnerships in Acworth. Residents and visitors will be able to learn more about Acworth’s rich history through the panel project, and the City of Acworth is incredibly grateful for the efforts put forth to make it happen. Thank you to Save Acworth History Foundation representative, Becca Kienel, and Alderman Tim Richardson for their words at today’s celebration.
