On Thursday, July 2, Mayor Allegood, the Board of Aldermen, and the Acworth Downtown Development Authority were excited to host a groundbreaking ceremony in celebration of a new 100-room Springhill Suites by Mariott in the City of Acworth, located within walking distance of the Acworth Community Center.

This new downtown hotel will be set on 3.5 acres, designed to complement the historic character of its location, and serve as an anchor and economic driver for downtown Acworth. The City of Acworth would like to thank Red Hills Hospitality, LLC, Lake City Hospitality, LLC, the Acworth Downtown Development Authority, and its many project partners for their efforts to help bring the downtown hotel to life.
