    Acworth Community Center 4361 Cherokee Street, Acworth, GA

    The Lake Authority is a five-member board where the elected Mayor serves as the Chairman.  The remaining four members are appointed by the Mayor and Board to serve.  They are a group of citizens that assist the City by providing citizen input and engagement into the operation, management, and the development of master plans for Federally leased properties around Lake Acworth. The Lake Authority meets at the Acworth Community Center (4361 Cherokee Street) on the first Monday of the month at noon.

  • Daddy Daughter Date Night

    Get ready for an evening of excitement, fun, and father-daughter bonding on June 7th from 6:00p.m. to 8:30p.m. at Acworth Parks, Recreation, and Community Resource Department's annual Daddy Daughter Date Night!  This year's theme will be "Emerald City"! Daddy Daughter Date Night will be held at the Tanyard Creek Overlook in the Acworth Community Center (4361 Cherokee Street). Daddy-Daughter Duo Tickets will be $40.00 for residents, and $50.00 for non-residents. All additional daughter tickets will be $10.00.     Visit Acworth is the city's tourism bureau authority charged with branding and marketing the city for the purpose of attracting visitors to enjoy Acworth's two beautiful lakes and historic downtown districts. Visit Acworth meets the second Thursday of the month at 4:30 p.m. at Acworth City Hall.
