City of Acworth Recognized as a PlanFirst Community at the Georgia State Capitol

The City of Acworth was excited to travel to the Georgia State Capitol in Atlanta on Monday, January 27 to be formally recognized as a PlanFirst Community by the Georgia Department of Community Affairs. The City of Acworth would like to thank DCA for recognizing the City’s commitment to responsible city planning to create a sustainable quality of life for our residents and visitors. PlanFirst designation acknowledges communities that demonstrate exemplary implementation of their local comprehensive plans and show a strong history of public involvement, active implementation, and progress toward goals.
Representing the City of Acworth at the Capitol building were Aldermen Tim Houston, Toby Carmichael, and Steve Prather as well as Development Director Alex Almodovar and Zoning Administrator Aaron Brown. Thank you to State Representatives Lisa Campbell and Ginny Ehrhart, and State Senator Ed Setzler for welcoming the Acworth Team to the Capitol! Thank you also to Marietta City Councilman Joseph Goldstein for your attendance and support of the City of Acworth.
