Mayor Tommy presented a proclamation in recognition of Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, September 2023.  Members of the Mighty Millie Foundation were present in honor of Millie Mracek who passed away at age 3-1/2 years old in 2021, as well as other children who have passed away from and are fighting childhood cancers.  The Foundation continues to fund research, as well as spread joy and awareness for families fighting childhood cancer.  The Acworth community encourages all residents to join in and support activities and events throughout the month of September to honor families walking this journey and to let them know that they are brave and are not alone.
