At the North Cobb Christian School National Day of Prayer event held in front of City Hall on Thursday, May 2, Mayor Allegood presented Todd Clingman, Head of School, with a proclamation declaring Thursday, May 2, 2024 as National Day of Prayer in the City of Acworth and invited people of all faiths to pray for our Nation. National Day of Prayer was created in 1952 by a joint resolution of the United States Congress and signed into law by President Harry S. Truman signifying that prayer is as important to our nation today as it was in the beginning.
