Recognition of Acworth Parks, Recreation, and Community Resource Department for Recent GRPA Awards

At the Thursday, November 20 regular city council meeting, Acworth Parks, Recreation, and Community Resource Director, Kim Watt, shared with Mayor and the Board of Aldermen about recent awards received by the department at the annual Georgia Recreation and Park Association conference that was held in October.
Ms. Watt highlighted Ash Jordan Fox, who serves as Business Manager/Assistant Recreation Coordinator, for receiving the Outstanding Administrative Support Staff award for the Fifth District, and the entire department for receiving the GRPA Agency of the Year Award for its respective size. Ms. Watt also formally introduced Ryan Lopez to Mayor and the Board of Aldermen. Mr. Lopez serves in a new role of Assistant Director – Property Management, and oversees the care and maintenance of all city facilities.
