Sanitation is a division of Acworth Public Works. The Sanitation Department has a customer base of approximately 6000. There are three major services provided to City citizens, general household garbage, yard waste/dry items and large item collections. The Department has 14 employees, with five collection trucks, service vehicles and various compactors and dumpsters. The Department also delivers residential service cans for new and terminating customers.

Large item pickup can be scheduled by calling Customer Service at 770-917-8903. Large Items are serviced for a fee of $25 per item, a complete list of items can be found on our website.
