At the Thursday, August 21 regular city council meeting, Alderman Houston acknowledged and swore in Justin Dupree on his promotion to Stormwater Coordinator and recognized his accomplishment in performing his many duties, including inspection and enforcement of sites for land-disturbance activities in an effort to keep our waterways clean. The City thanks him for his hard work and dedication to teaching the Acworth community all of the ways they can help in keeping our waterways safe and healthy!

Help keep Lake Acworth beautiful! Acworth Power and Public Works' Stormwater Division is partnering with Acworth Parks, Recreation, and Community Resource Department to host a Lake Acworth Clean-Up on Saturday, March 23 from 9:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. at Cauble Park. Interested volunteers are encouraged to RSVP to Luke McTaggart at lmctaggart@acworth-ga.gov. Volunteers are asked to bring kayaks and canoes if they have them.
