North Cobb Rotary Celebrates Success of 2026 Smoke on the Lake BBQ Festival

On Thursday, July 2, at the City of Acworth's regularly scheduled meeting of the Mayor and Board of Aldermen, the North Cobb Rotary Club celebrated the success of the 2026 Smoke on the Lake event at Logan Farm Park and thanked the Mayor and Board of Aldermen for the city's support to host the event at Logan Farm Park in May. At the Thursday, April 18 regular city council meeting, Acworth Parks, Recreation and Community Resource Recreation Coordinator for Youth Programming, Jordan Gonzalez, and North Cobb High School Sponsor of the Acworth Young Aldermen, Sam Fraundorf, presented members of the Acworth Young Aldermen (AYA) before the Mayor and Board for their annual briefing. Members of the AYA advised on accomplishments for the 2023-2024 school year to include volunteer assistance at community events, a trip to the state Capitol, and a service project for student driver safety.
