Corporal Eric Mistretta was recognized for completion of a two-week DARE recertification program and being honored at the graduation ceremony with the Joanne Chauncey Award. This accolade is presented to the student who displays the highest level of expertise in the DARE curriculum. Corporal Mistretta earned this recognition by providing valuable support to a fellow classmate who was encountering challenges during the course. His commitment and exceptional performance caught the attention of mentors and the State coordinator, leading to an invitation to participate in an upcoming “train the trainer” session. This training will equip him to assist in teaching the DARE class annually. Corporal Mistretta’s accomplishments highlight his dedication and make him a shining example of the exemplary officers within the Acworth Police Department.
