Proclamation for National Family Literacy Day, November 1
At the Thursday, October 19th regular city council meeting, Mayor Tommy Allegood presented members of the Daughters of the American Revolution Liberty Hill Chapter (Melinda Allen, Betty Westbrook, & Patricia Hein). with a proclamation celebrating National Family Literacy Day.
National Family Literacy Day is celebrated on November 1 and highlights the importance of reading and learning for the entire family while emphasizing the impact that parents have on their children’s learning.
