At the Thursday, June 15 regular city council meeting, Dave Schwickerath, President of North Cobb Rotary Club, provided information on funds raised from the annual Smoke on the Lake BBQ Festival held on May 12 and 13 at Logan Farm Park. This festival is the Rotary Club’s largest annual fundraiser that supports local charities. A total amount of $56,000 was raised for the 2023 Smoke on the Lake event. Mr. Schwickerath thanked the Mayor and Board for their support and acknowledged the club’s gratefulness for all the Acworth Parks, Recreation and Community Resource Department and Acworth Police Department do to help make this event happen every year.
