At the Thursday, June 20 regular city council meeting, Mayor Tommy Allegood presented a proclamation in recognition of Foster Care Awareness Month to Adriana Howard, Community Engagement Manager of Georgia Kids Belong, alongside members and supporters of the organization.  Georgia Kids Belong empowers others to recognize that regardless of one’s occupation, skillset, and life stage, one has the unique ability and opportunity to impact the lives of children in foster care.  As Georgia’s first Foster-Friendly City, Acworth citizens are encouraged to continue their unwavering support and involvement in fostering a friendly environment for children in foster care in support of Georgia Kids Belong.
