At the Thursday, October 17 regular city council meeting, Alderman North presented the annual United States Navy Day Proclamation to Officer Scott Whiddon of the Acworth Police Department.  Navy day is celebrated on October 13, and this year marks the 249^th anniversary. Citizens are encouraged to remember and thank our veterans and active military personnel who faithfully serve in this and other branches of the United States Armed Forces.
