At the Thursday, October 17 regular city council meeting, Chief Evans presented the annual Public Safety Appreciation Week Proclamation to members of the Acworth Police Department, with special mention of Sergeant Eric Mistretta, who received the Cobb Chamber Community Improvement Award for his work in community engagement. An Acworth police officer was also honored as Cobb Chamber Officer of the Year for saving a woman’s life during a mental health crisis.
