At the Thursday, May 16 regular city council meeting, Alderman Richardson presented the National Historic Preservation Month Proclamation for May to members of the Historic Preservation Commission (HPC).  Cedric Jackson, Vice Chairman, Joan Chandler Boyer, Treasurer, and Trevor Beemon, Chairman, were recognized in acceptance of the proclamation.  This proclamation celebrates the role of history in our lives and the contributions made by dedicated individuals in helping to preserve the tangible aspects of the heritage that has shaped us as a people, whereas Acworth citizens are encouraged to promote historic preservation and join in to recognize the essential role that preservation plays in the Acworth community.
