Published On: February 1, 2024

At the Thursday, February 1 regular city countil meeting, Alderman Toby Carmichael presented the annual Scouting Anniversary Week Proclamation to Troop 730 Leader Antoine Johnson and Scouts in attendance. This year marks the 114th anniversary of the founding of the Boy Scouts of America.  There are many community organizations in Acworth and North Cobb that make Scouting available for hundreds of youth members who participate in Scouting programs as a means for character building, citizenship training, and personal fitness.   The City of Acworth encourages community youth to join a local Scouting unit and adults to volunteer to take advantage of the services and programs that this organization offers.
