On Tuesday, April 11, The Save Acworth History Foundation dedicated a plaque on Main Street to Chandler’s Barber Shop which served the Acworth community for around 40 years from the 1940s through the 1980s. Thank you to the Chandler and Hunt families who were able to make it out to the dedication, and to the Save Acworth History Foundation for organizing this celebration of two Acworth families that created an important community business serving the city with haircuts, shoeshines, and even showers before indoor plumbing was commonplace. This Acworth business is one of many that the city is excited to see being honored on Main Street.
