At the Thursday, June 6 regular city council meeting, Mayor Allegood presented the annual U.S. Army Day Proclamation to retired veteran and former Commander Naomi Munevar. On June 14, 2024, we celebrate 249 years of the U.S. Army’s existence, whereas Acworth citizens are urged to recognize and honor our Army and all members of the armed forces who sacrifice their lives for the safety and well-being of others.
