DESCRIPTION:The Taste of Acworth is an annual event that will take place on Saturday\, October 12\, 2024\, from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. The City of Acworth partners with the Acworth Business Association and JRM Management to host this event on Main Street in Downtown Acworth. This event benefits numerous local schools and charities in our community. Approximately 18\,000 visitors taste their way through this collection of delicacies every year and it is expected to evolve tremendously! There are over 150 booths from local restaurants and businesses\, plus two live entertainment stages!  Children will have plenty to do with inflatables\, quad bungees\, and challenging games located in the kid zone. \nAdmission is FREE!  An array of diverse restaurants will be offering food samples from $1.00 to $10.00 to satisfy every palate.  Parking will be available throughout town. Come hungry\, bring the kids\, and join in the fun! \nFor information about sponsoring the event\, renting an arts and crafts booth\, or being a food vendor contact JRM Management at 770-423-1330.

DESCRIPTION:The 15th annual Acworth Turkey Chase will take place on Saturday\, November 18th. Enjoy an exhilarating 5K run\, jog\, or walk through Historic Downtown Acworth and along the shores of beautiful Lake Acworth. The City of Acworth Parks\, Recreation\, and Community Resource Department presents this annual Thanksgiving tradition to benefit the Tackle Hunger Program! For the past ten years\, Turkey Chase runners have helped stock local food pantries during the holiday season! Be sure to save the date for this special event.  Participants of all ages and abilities are welcome.
