DESCRIPTION:The 2026 Historic Downtown Acworth Farmer’s Market will take place on Friday mornings between April 10 and October 30\, and Saturday mornings between May 16 and November 14 from 8:00 a.m. to noon. The market is located at Logan Farm Park (4405 Cherokee Street) in Acworth. \nThere will be no farmers market on the following Saturdays: July 25\, October 17\, and October 24. \nMarket customers will have a wide variety of garden ripe Georgia grown vegetables\, eggs\, cheese\, bedding plants\, fresh-baked bread\, pies\, cakes\, honey\, and jams to choose from each week. SUMMARY:Memorial Day Ceremony
DESCRIPTION:The ceremony to honor those who have given their lives in service to our country will be held on Saturday\, May 23 at 10:00 a.m. in Cauble Park at Patriots Point. Veterans and current servicemen will pay tribute to brave men and women who have fought and died for our nation. Engraved pavers dedicated to those who have served in our armed forces that have been purchased since the previous Veterans Day will be presented at the event. \nFor more information on the event contact Jeff Chase at jchase@acworth-ga.gov or call 770-917-1234. \n\n\nIf you have not seen the Veterans Memorial at Patriot’s Point at Cauble Park\, make sure you take an opportunity to stop by. The service flags of the Army\, Navy\, Marine Corps\, Air Force and Coast Guard surround the American Flag. The concrete dome structure is surrounded by a paver walkway with engraved pavers. \nYou can honor a veteran by purchasing pavers. The pavers are available in 4×4 or 8×8 sizes. With the 4×4\, you get 3 lines\, each with up to 18 characters engraved on the pavers. The 8×8 comes with 4 lines\, each with up to 18 characters engraved on it.\nOrder forms can be picked up at the Acworth Parks and Recreation Department Office\, Acworth City Hall\, or downloaded by clicking here.
